DSVS thanks community for making a difference in victims’ lives

Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) in Red Lodge wanted to take some time during this season to thank Stillwater County.
Thank you so much to our volunteers, donors, and supporters! Our community is amazing! You help change the world for those affected by domestic and sexual violence.
But don’t take our word for it – listen to some survivors:
•“Thank you so much for the wonderful gift you’ve given me, my life and my future. No woman ever dreams of ending up needing that kind of helping hand. […] Thank you so much for gently nudging me in the direction of self-respect and self-preservation.”
•“If it weren’t for you and this wonderful program, who knows where we’d be. Thank you.”
•“I don’t think I can ever express the amount of genuine gratitude I have for you, my saviors. With the way things were going, I was going to end up dead. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sending me home to people who love me and helping me get out of my dangerous relationship.”
We’d also like to extend a special thanks to the Stillwater County News. In a rural community like ours, sometimes the only connection people have to the outside world is the local newspaper. Without SCN, some of the survivors who came to us would never have found us. We’re so grateful to be a part of a community that cares for each other and doesn’t tolerate abuse!
DSVS provides services for individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence in Carbon and Stillwater Counties. If you or someone you know needs help, please call our 24-7 helpline at (406)425-2222.
We couldn’t do our work without your help! Thank you! If you’d like to become a supporter, learn more and donate at www.dsvsmontana.org. Or contact our office at 406-446-2296 or info@dsvsmontana.org.
