An early crowd browses through books at the Stillwater County Library book sale on Apr. 21. The sale is being held at the Stillwater County Pavilion this year with more than 40,000 books for sale.

Features 41,000 recently donated books

The annual Stillwater County Library book sale started on Tuesday.
The book sale is being held at the Stillwater County Pavilion this year because it is too large to hold at the library.
The library recently received a donation of 41,000 books from Ruth Anderson at Wyoming Well Book Exchange in Cody, Wyo. Anderson donated her entire inventory when she retired and closed the store.
Stillwater County Library Director Della Haverland said the books are all in good condition. The library acquired approximately 200 of the books for its collection. The remainder of the books are being sold at the sale.
The sale dates and times are as follows:
-April 23-24: Noon to 7 p.m.
-April 25: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
-April . 26: Closed
-April 27-29: Noon to 7 p.m.
Pricing for books varies from 25 cents to two dollars.
Volunteers are still needed to help on Saturday, April 25 and Thursday, April 30.
Haverland said there are still about 200 boxes of books that have not been unpacked yet. Volunteers are needed on Saturday to help unpack the remaining books.
Teardown and cleanup is planned for April 30 with work beginning around 9:30 a.m. Volunteers who help on this day will be able to take unsold books as well.
Anyone interested in volunteering can contact the library for more information.
