Laakso, Marsh state track champions

Two Stillwater County track and field athletes came home from the Class C state meet with championship titles.
Reed Point-Rapelje’s Jordan Marsh won the discus with a toss of 142-6, beating the second place finisher by more than five feet.
Park City’s Rayna Laakso is the 100 hurdles champion, with a time of 16.06. The runner-up was back 16.17.
Laakso also took second in the long jump with a distance of 16-2. Teammates Cara Grewell took third in the shot put with a throw of 34-8 ½ while MacKinzie Verke was fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 33-8.
Overall, the Lady Panthers finished sixth as a team out of a field of 35.
Absarokee’s Rily Livingston was third in the high jump with a distance of 6-0.
Marsh’s win placed RPR 16th in team standings out of 37 teams. Absarokee was 25th.
