John was born December 6, 1953 in Newport, Oregon, to Lloyd Irwin Valyou and Barbara Louise Valyou.
John lived in Toledo Oregon for two years before moving to Siletz Oregon. He attended Siletz schools, graduating from Siletz High in 1972. John then entered the army where he proudly served in Germany. After being discharged, he returned to Toledo, Oregon where he had a brief marriage with Christine Gary, while working for Georgia Pacific at their paper mill. Personal issues forced John into an early retirement.
John then moved to Montana where he spent most of his time on his bikes. He was most proud of his three Boss Hoss motorcycles. John loved riding and looked forward to his annual treks to Sturgis.
John left this world on Sunday June 14, 2015 doing what he loved, on one of his rides through Wyoming.
John is survived by his brother Jim Valyou (Kimmie), several nephews and nieces. He is also survived by best friend Tom and Candy Colgrove, Tom’s daughter Nichole whom John considered his niece and Tom’s Parents Al and Joan Colgrove (the folks).

Burial was at the Yellowstone Veterans Cemetery in Laurel, Montana June 23 at 10 a.m.
