Come celebrate World Day of Prayer on March 4

I would like to invite everyone to join us in observing World Day of Prayer. Women and children in more than 170 countries and regions will be celebrating World Day of Prayer March 4, 2016.
The Women of Cuba invite us into a time of worship and the theme this year is “Receive Children, Receive Me.” You will be invited to learn about Cuba’s history and rich cultural diversity. The scripture is found in Mark Chapter 10 Verses 13 thru 16.
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide Ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday in March. This was founded on the idea that prayer and action are inseparable in the service of God’s kingdom.
The offering helps support families in Cuba’s. Informed prayer leads to prayerful action to transcend religious and cultural differences and build a common ground to empower change in communities. World Day of Prayer promotes justice and equality for women through prayer, partnerships, service and celebration.
Please join us at 10 a.m. March 4 at the Congregational Church.
