Grewell wins shot put and discus, May takes first in the javelin

The Park City girls track team came in fourth out of 17 Class B and C teams with 58 points at the Sunshine Meet in Columbus on April 22. The Roundup girls came in first with 81 points.
Cara Grewell led the Panthers with a first in the shot put at 32 feet 5 ½ inches, first in the discus at 102 feet 3 inches and third in the javelin at 98 feet.
Rayna Laakso took second in the 100 meter hurdles at 16.29, second in the long jump at 16 feet 5 inches, second in the high jump at 4 feet 9 inches and fourth in the 100 meters at 13.94.
Brittany Frank took fifth in the javelin at 95 feet, MacKinzie Verke took sixth in the triple jump at 31 feet 9 ¼ inches, and the Panther 4-by-400 meter relay team took sixth at 55.12.
The Panther boys as a team were tied for seventh with Columbus out of 19 teams at 24 points. The Ennis boys came in first at 90 points.
Connor May took first in the javelin at 153 feet 10 inches, Brandon Flemmer came in second in the 800 meters at 2:16.41, and Connor McNeil came in sixth in the 300 meter hurdles at 45.94.
The Park City 4-by-100 meter relay team came in fifth at 46.71, and the 4-by-400 meter relay team came in fifth at 3:53.36.
The Columbus boys were led by Michael Jacobson, who took second in the 300 meter hurdles at 42.76 and third in the 110 meter hurdles at 16.49. Elijah Daniels took fourth in the long jump at 19 feet 4 ¾ inches.
The Cougar girls came in 13th as a team, tied with Reed Point-Rapelje at 10 points. Kenedy Wiggs took second in the pole vault at 8 feet, and Camryn Ault came in fifth in the pole vault at 7 feet 6 inches.
The RPR boys came in 10th as a team with 19 points. Jordan Marsh took first in the discus at 144 feet 3 inches. Willem Steinfeldt took third in the 1,600 meters at 5:01.12 and sixth in the 800 meters at 2:18.74.
For the Renegade girls, Mercedes Hoff took third in the 100 meters at 13.69.
