William Francis Kloss was born to Bertha Kloss on Jan. 13, 1940. His mother gave him up for adoption to his grandparents, Fredrich and Katherine Kloss who immigrated from Germany and Austria.
His grandparents additionally raised eight other children, all in Brentwood, Pa. William, or Bill as he was called, graduated from Brentwood High School in 1958. He then went on to join the U.S. Army for a four-year term. After leaving the Army he worked for J&L Steel Mill.
While working there he attended night school to obtain an accounting certificate. Following his stint in night school, he worked for the US Steel offices in Pittsburgh for 15 years. He married Diane Walker in 1965 and would go on to father two children, Richard Kloss and Heather Kloss Milliken.
He moved to Texas in 1978 and was divorced shortly thereafter. In 1995, the year his first grandchild was born, he married Mary Kloss.
He worked for Sterling Jewelry for many years and then found other odd jobs until his retirement in 2006. From then, until his death in 2013 from cancer, he spent his time doing church work.
He is survived by his son, Richard and wife Christina and two children, Paxton and Siany Kloss, his daughter, Heather and husband Ralph, and two children Jonathan and Lauren Milliken, his wife Mary, and his ex-wife Diane.
Throughout his life he maintained a great attitude and had a heart to serve others. He passed from this life to his eternal home February of 2013.
A celebration of his life will be held at Grace Fellowship in Absarokee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.
