Aug. 25, 1929 – Dec. 15, 2016

In the early morning hours of Dec. 15, 2015, a very special lady passed into the waiting arms of her heavenly father.
Marilyn was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend a person could have ever had. Marilyn was born Aug. 25, 1929 in Hayfield, Minn., to Clarence and Mathilda Orpen (the youngest of four).
On March 5, 1950, she married the love of her life, Hollis Jacobsen in Austin, Minn. They were blessed with one daughter.
She lived her life to the fullest and brought joy to all around her. She always said she had been truly blessed and would not have changed a thing. A very talented lady who loved the outdoors, most especially her horses and irises. Her favorite place was in the middle of a family gathering. We will miss her greatly.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Hollis Jacobsen, her daughter, Bonnie (John) Chepulis (Columbus, Mont.) grandchildren, Sean (Detra) Chepulis (Bozeman, Mont.), Cory (Shaina) Chepulis (Bozeman, Mont.), Jennifer (Jess) Ellis (Townsend, Mont.), Erika (Steven) Calvert (Spring Creek, Nev.) and 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held June 10, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Absarokee, Mont., at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, PO Box 343, Absarokee, MT, 59001.
