I would like to thank everyone who made Halloween in Columbus such a success this past Tuesday. First off, thank you to the Stillwater County News for working with the chamber and organizing the downtown business trick or treating. Second thank you to each and every business that participated in the event. It was a joy for many families. Another thanks can be sent out to all of the county residents who graciously opened their doors and filled our kids bags with treats (even the dentist office who gave away toothpaste and tooth brushes!)
In closing I would like to thank all of the citizens and businesses that donated money earlier this year to S.C.O.R.E.’s End of Summer Bash. Although the fireworks were postponed due to high fire risks, the show was able to finally go on and did it ever! The wind really tried to blow us away, but Tuesday night we were graced with a wonderful display of artistic talent by Pyro FX of Billings and our own Next FX. (It should be noted that although partially compensated for this show, almost all labor and a substantial amount of product were donated by the two companies and their families.)
We are a fortunate county and community to have residents and businesses that care so much for each other. Thank you Stillwater County and what a wonderful place to call home.
Stillwater County Commissioner Mark Crago
