Lee Charles Goddard, 89, passed away on July 23, 2016, at Billings Clinic Hospital.
Lee was born March 6, 1927, in Billings, Mont., to Lee Roy and Franchon (Milligan) Goddard. He was the fourth born of 12 children. He married Rose Helen Thompson on June 22, 1946.
Lee grew up in Billings and on the family ranch at Reed Point. He was a farmer and rancher and one of the most talented and inventive welders ever.
He could build anything he set his mind to. He loved to tell stories, discuss news and politics and enjoyed playing a challenging game of cards.
Lee is survived by his wife Rose of Columbus; his children, Dianna (Bob) LeBrun of Luther, Terry (Vicki) Goddard of Columbus and Maria (Ted) Weis of Silesia; Grandchildren Andrew (Vickie) LeBrun of Great Falls, Ron (Trish) Goddard and Jason (Tressie) Goddard of Columbus, Benjamin (Lori)LeBrun of Belfry and Lee (Beth) Weis of Laurel; 21 great grandchildren, one brother and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, James LeBrun.
Funeral services will be July 29 at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Columbus with a reception immediately following. Burial will be set at a later date.
