Paul W. Whittlesey peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 20, 2016, with his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Katherine (Katie) by his side.
Paul was born in Denver, Colo., on May 12, 1934, to Paul W. Whittlesey Sr. and Zella Whittlesey. Paul graduated from South High School in Denver and Denver University. He was drafted into the Army in 1956 and served his duty at Ft. Carson, Colo.
Fifteen days after serving his country he married Katie, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In 1963 their daughter Katherine Brooks was born.
Paul was a luxury home builder in Denver for 20 years, and eventually settled in Montana. He never met a stranger, was a gregarious and generous man beloved by many.
He is survived by his wife, Katie; daughter Katy Brooks and her husband Jim VanHousen as well as their daughters, Kelsey and Jaycie; sister Kay and brother-in-law Otto Seward and their children Chris and Paul.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel at 315 E. 3rd Street, Laurel, Mont., 59044 at 11 a.m. on Feb. 24, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Church Missions-550 32nd Street West Billings, MT 59102
