Making a real difference in the lives of neighbors and helping them find their own happy place can be as easy as walking through the doors at the 9th Annual Jewel of the Stillwater fundraiser on April 28.

As the Stillwater Community Healthcare Foundation’s premier fundraising event to benefit Stillwater Billings Clinic, money raised goes to help people in and around our community, according to a news release issued by the Stillwater Community Healthcare Foundation.

This year’s theme is “Find Your Happy Place” and focuses on mental health care and proceeds will go to promoting access to mental health services throughout Stillwater County.

“There are many barriers to accessing mental health services including associated social stigmas, lack of immediate access to care in times of crisis and a lack of professional resources,” said Natasha Sailer, Stillwater Billings Clinic Director of Community Health Services. “The funds raised from the Jewel of the Still-water will help alleviate some of those by providing access to mental health professionals in our communities and schools via telemedicine and outreach.”

This year’s fundraiser begins at 6 p.m. at the Anipro Event Center, 2878 Highway 78, south of Absarokee.

It features dancing, music from the Midlife Chryslers and a delicious meal catered by Yellowstone Kelly’s.

For those looking to help a little more and bring home a fantastic item or two, live and silent auctions will be held.

“Money raised will also be used for education, to promote a better understanding of mental health and to help prevent mental health crisis situations,” Sailer said.
