On Dec. 21, 2021, Ann Pomeroy, 67, of Columbus went to be with her Lord and Savior. Born to Arnold and Lila Connelly on Oct. 27, 1954, she joined big sisters: Sandy Yoder, Diane Schlemmer, Susie Dempsey and big brother, Roger. To the Connelly Family, life on the farm in LaGrange, Indiana, was made complete with the arrival of Ann’s little sister, Sherry Ballard. Ann graduated from Lakeland High School in 1973 and began her career as a businesswoman.

Ann was a businesswoman for many years, owning LaGrange Title Company, while taking on the role of Mom to Ritch Hostetler and Heather Schlehuber. On Nov. 21, 1987, Ann married Thomas Pomeroy and together they created their life in Lagrange, Indiana, until 2005 when life took them to Colo rado to be closer to their grandkids.

In 2007, Ann and Tom followed their daughter Heather to Montana. Although spending time with her family was Ann’s main priority, she also loved baking, working in her flower gardens and was a self-taught painter. Many of her beautiful paintings will hang in homes in her remembrance. Ann was a strong believer in Christ and was heavily involved in the worship services at Calvary Chapel in Indiana. Ann had a beautiful singing voice, and it comforts us to know she is now singing in the Lord’s choir.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger. Ann is survived by her husband, Thomas; her children Ritch and Heather (Cody); four grandsons, David, Dane and Drake Cross and Ritch Hostetler II; her four sisters, Sandy Yoder, Susie Dempsey, Diane Schlemmer and Sherry Ballard. A memorial service will be held 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Columbus.
