Frances Pearl Bokma, 87, formally of Columbus, Mont., passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Lindsborg Community Hospital in Kansas.

Frances was born March 14, 1932, in Reed Point, Mont., to the late Charlie and the late Bertie (Cullip) Bare. Frances lived her whole life in Columbus, Mont., until she moved to Lindsborg, Kan., recently to be near her son. Frances loved to garden and canned vegetables for her family.

She could be seen about any day of the week, other than Sunday, working outside. She loved her family and her church. Frances was the widow of William Bokma.

She is survived by her son, Rodger Bokma (Amy), of Lindsborg, Kan.; brothers Roy Bare, and Everett Bare; as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Trinkia (Lester)Hoagland; her brother, Charles Bare and twin grand-babies.

Frances requested to be cremated and her remains to be placed with her husband and daughter. A private graveside service will be held for the family on Aug. 12. Friends and family are welcome to join us for a meal in celebration of her life at the Columbus Evangelical Church from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
