cial friendship with Don Butcher and his family. She loved going to coffee with Don and visiting with her “coffee ladies.”

Karol was predeceased by her parents, a brother, husband Calvin, son John, daughter Lola and special companion Don. She is survived by daughters Barbara and Brenda, sisters Sharon Hicks and Laurie Cappon and stepchildren Lee, Gayle and Colin Brunckhorst, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and neph-Karol A. Brunckhorst passed away April 24, 2018, at Shipp’s Assisted Living in Absarokee, Mont. Karol was born June 30, 1943, in Iowa City, Iowa, to John and Margaret Frohwein. She married Calvin Brunckhorst on June 28, 1968.

Karol was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary 7311 and the American Legion in her younger years. She very much enjoyed camping and fishing with many good friends. She loved to crochet, shoot pool and play cards. She enjoyed a speews.

We are so very grateful to Tess Ship and staff for the loving care Karol received in the three-plus years she lived there. We would also like to thank Compassus Hospice for being there for Karol these last few months.

A small memorial service and luncheon, served by the VFW Auxiliary, will be May 5 at 11 a.m. at Shipp’s Assisted Living. Memorials may be made to Cancer Aid and Research or VFW Auxiliary 7311.
