Candidate says Wald will be a good judge
Letter to the Editor
Campaigning door to door across the 22nd Judicial District from Reed Point to Busby has reinforced something my family has been telling me for more than 30 years: I am married to the finest woman in the world.
My wife, Lea, accompanied me across three counties covering more than 8,000 square miles. She was the heart and backbone of the campaign. On the few occasions when I ventured out alone, people were nice enough, but it was quickly apparent who they were really happy to see.
When I chose to run for this office, Lea and I decided that it was imperative to meet as many citizens as possible on their own ground. We have thoroughly enjoyed knocking on doors these last few months.
Talking to the people of all three counties, hearing their concerns and being trusted with their stories has touched us deeply. We are honored and humbled that people have shared their lives with us in this way.
I want to thank everyone who supported me through this campaign. I am grateful. And I am confident that Matt Wald will be a thoughtful and conscientious judge, and that our district will be well served during his tenure.
