The following activities and events were reported by the Columbus High School FFA chapter:

The Columbus FFA Chapter spent the morning of Sept. 6 at a leadership conference in Laurel. We had members of our officer team, new members and incoming freshman of our chapter attend.

While there, we participated in several workshops with the National FFA President to improve our leadership skills.

Be on the lookout for Columbus FFA members for the chance to support your local chapter. Starting soon, our members will be selling FFA calendars for our annual fundraiser.

Each calendar will be $10 and include a picture of our chapter, important dates (birthdays of your choice, holidays, etc.), and ads for businesses in the area. If you’re interested in buying an ad for the calendars, please send an email

Members of the Columbus chapter will be holding an educational farm tour for kids in second and fifth grade who attend Columbus schools on Sept. 27 at the Anipro Arena near Absarokee. Here, they will be learning about different farm practices, safety around machinery, and have the opportunity to participate in our petting zoo.
