Today, Sept. 26, the David Thatcher Memorial Highway dedication ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 78 and 419 (the Fishtail turn-off). Thatcher is Absarokee’s very own historic Doolittle Raider from WWII, who was a crew member of the Ruptured Duck and was awarded the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Congressional Gold Medal. The public is invited to this ceremony to honor this national hero.
