The following is a non-inclusive listing of holiday events taking place around Stillwater County this year:

CURRENTLY - DEC. 9

Montana Gem’s Holiday Jewelry Gem Stone event runs through Monday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Columbus Super 8.

FRIDAY – DEC. 6

Annual Absarokee Snowflake Festival will start at 10 a.m. with snowflake maps. The day is filled with open houses, a wreath contest, pictures with Santa, a spaghetti dinner at the Absarokee Senior Center, the Snowflake Run, the parade and fireworks.

SATURDAY – DEC. 7

The annual Cobblestone Winter Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the old Cobblestone Elementary School House. Vendors, food concessions and more. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. For more information, please.

SUNDAY – DEC. 8

•Project Hope’s Kids’ shopping day is held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stillwater County fairgrounds. This annual event is for kids in grades K-5th to buy up to five gifts for just a total of $3. Parents enjoy coffee and cookies while the kids shop.

SUNDAY - DECEMBER 8

•Nye Gets Lit is an annual December event sponsored by the Nye Community Foundation. It gets underway at 5 p.m. at the Nye Fire Hall. Chili, chicken noodle soup, hors d’oeuvres, refreshments and entertainment are on tap.

•The Annual Molt Volunteer Rural Fire Department’s chili and stew dinner starts at 5 p.m. ad the Molt Community Center. Dinner will be followed by a live auction of crafts, baked goods and other items. There is a charge for the dinner.

WEDNESDAY – DEC.11

A Walk through Bethlehem at the Stillwater Youth Center in Columbus. Guided tours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., live animals, cookies, hot cocoa and games for the entire family.

FRIDAY - DEC. 13

SATURDAY - DEC. 14

First annual fireman’s chili cook-off: Come see Santa and cast your vote as Park City fire crews go head-to-head in the first annual cook-off. Photos with Santa will be free and chili is a free-will donation basis. This event will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Park City Fire Hall.
