Wrestler Kali Hood brought home the hardware from the AAU Nationals that was held in Des Moines, Iowa on April 2 and 3.

Hood won seven of her eight matches, bringing home a silver medal and recognition as the Girls All American High School Wrestler.

She has been invited to the Disney Duals in Florida, according to Coach Lanny Conat Jr. He said a fundraiser will be held to help Hood cover expenses for the national event.

Hood competes on the Columbus-Absarokee-Park City (CAP) team where she’ll have one more year to compete for gold. She has been wrestling with the team since her freshman year.

In February, Hood made history at the state’s first ever girls state wresting tournament held in Lockwood. She battled her way to second place in the 258-pound weight division.
