Storm brings inches of rain to Stillwater County

Keyser Creek flooded the bike path on the west end of Columbus on Wednesday, May 23.

Keyser Creek was running over its banks by 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 23. By 7 a.m., the Columbus area had received about 1.6 inches of rain from the storm that started the previous night, according to the National Weather Service. Areas between Columbus and Absarokee had received 3.5 inches and counting. NWS Meteorologist Tom Frieders said Stillwater County had taken the brunt of the storm.
