Sheriff says thank you for years of support

Brophy: thanks to all for the years of support
Thursday, December 27, 2018

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of Stillwater County for the opportunity to serve you through the Stillwater County Sheriff / Coroner’s Office.

During my 37 years with the office, I have met many wonderful people. Many I have the privilege of calling “friend.” It would be impossible to thank each and every person individually that has been a part of my career. The support and cooperation over the years has meant a lot to me.

Even during times of unrest in the rest of our country, we experienced tremendous local support for those that serve our country and our communities. From the individuals that stood in the cold with signs showing their support, or the friendly “thank you” that greeted us on the sidewalk. It touched me deeply to see your support for those that serve you.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the emergency responders and support personnel. It has been a privilege to have worked with all of our fire, EMS, Search and Rescue, reserves, dispatch, DES, police, hospital staff and all of the others. Your commitment and sacrifice have made this community a great place to live and to work. Your cooperation and assistance during emergencies and disasters helped save property and lives. Thank you.

I can’t say enough about the men and women that serve in the Sheriff/Coroner’s Office. We have many great public servants in that office. I am confident that they will continue to be the dedicated professionals that they are. The individuals in this office have accomplished great things over the years. I am confident that many more greats things will be forthcoming by these same public servants.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Sheriff/Coroner for the last 28 years. It will remain as one of my most memorable experiences.
