On Friday, Oct. 11, Reed Point Schools celebrated 2019 homecoming.

The entire week was filled with festivities. We kicked off the week with dress up days including: Pajama Day, Career Day, America Day, Crazy Sock/ Hair Day, and finally, our favorite, Renegade Day.

Students from each class began their parade floats Thursday afternoon, and the parade began at 11 a.m., Friday, down “main” street, showcasing each class’s personalized float. After the parade, everyone headed to the pep assembly for cheering, games, and the crowning of king, queen, and prince.

Our royalty line-up comprised of our Reed Point King senior Bud Ullery, Rapelje King senior Kamron Gore, Reed Point Queen senior Lia Hamilton, Rapelje Queen senior Lily Knoll, and Reed Point Prince junior Trent Ott.

The festivities were wrapped up with some sports action. The Lady Renegades volleyball team swept Plenty Coups in three sets. The Renegade football team played the Harlowton Engineers and had a tough battle. The Renegades came out and scored first, which would be the only points that the team scored during the match up.

RPR lost 65 to 6. Ultimately, the score did not ruin our Homecoming fun or our pride for our Renegade football team.

After the game, athletes and fans met in the parking lot for a bonfire, s’mores, and good conversation with family and friends. Overall, staff, students, and community had a great time during Homecoming 2019.
