Now that basketball season has come to a close, nine Stillwater County athletes have been honored for their hard work and success on the court. Columbus junior Brenna Rouane and Absarokee senior Mallorey Sheppard were both named All-State by the coaches in their respective districts. Rouane was an important piece to the Lady Cougar offense, but her strong defensive performances game-in and game-out were just as important during Columbus’s regular season and postseason run to the state tournament. Sheppard was the leader of this year’s Lady Husky basketball team, and she consistently generated big offensive numbers throughout the season. Several additional local athletes received All-Conference honors. Columbus senior Morgan Kirch, Park City senior Blakely Verke, and RPR junior Carlee Blodgett were each named All-Conference First Team. Rouane and Sheppard also belong to this list. Second Team All-Conference players include Cougar senior Alexa Riveland, Husky sophomore Lexi Feddes, Panther senior Breanne Smith, and Renegade senior Jocelyn Ott.
