Students at schools around the county have been putting in a lot of work to prepare holiday songs for community members, and in the coming week the fruits of their labor will be on display at concerts and programs.

The following is a list of the local holiday programs taking place in Stillwater County:

The Columbus Elementary School Christmas concert will take place on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 7 p.m. in the Columbus High School gym. Students in kindergarten through third grade will perform, as well as the fourth and fifth graders in Honor Choir.

The CHS bands and choir will perform their concert on Monday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. in the middle school gym, and the concert for the middle school band and choir will be on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. in the CMS gym.

The Park City Junior High and High School will be performing in a joint concert on Monday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. in the school’s gym.

The elementary held its concert on Monday, Dec. 10.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, Rapelje will be hosting a Christmas program as well as a dinner.

The dinner will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the school’s lunchroom and will be served by the Rapelje Volunteer Fire Department. It will take place on a donation basis, with the funds raised going to the fire department and the school’s music department.

The concert will begin at 6 p.m. in the gym, directly following the dinner. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade will present holiday music, as well as perform “The Littlest Christmas.”

Absarokee Schools will be holding its Christmas Extravaganza on Tuesday, Dec.18, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. This year’s program celebrates the holiday with animal friends through the theme “Christmas in a Stable.”

Kindergarteners through sixth graders, as well as the junior high and high school choirs and bands will preform.

There will also be an “endless dessert buffet” at the extravaganza. There is a small charge for table seating, and bleacher seating is free.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19, Reed Point students will perform in the school’s annual Christmas program. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the gym.

In addition to the program, a silent auction will be held. Items in the auction include theme baskets from school clubs and groups.
