2020 Stillwater Republican Women scholarship information

In recognition of 2020 being a presidential election year, the Stillwater Republican Women (SRW) organization is offering one scholarship “All Aboard - Trump 2020.” ​

The combined resources from Politics and Eggs Breakfast-Montana Style (which is hosted by SRW),  Shirlee Keffer’s “I Believe,” and the Stillwater Republican Central Committee, the scholarship is for $3,000.​

The scholarship format is based on the Declaration of Independence,​

the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and American history.​

This year, the scholarship application will consist of the following:  ​

•The Hillsdale College online course “Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution”​

•13 questions​

•An essay question​

•Biographical information on the student, studies or trade being pursued and recap of community activities/leadership roles in high school.​

Eligible students must be a senior at any Stillwater County high school or homeschooler. All applicants must also provide proof of acceptance to a 4-year college, trade or tech school. Applications must be submitted by April 15, 2020.​

Stillwater County high schools will soon be sent information about the 2020 scholarships. In addition, Shirley Keffer can be contacted either by email or phone for request for an application at  kefferpost@earthlink.net or (406)780-0482 (text or voicemail message). ​

Since 2014, a total of 14 scholarships have been given, totaling $9,100.00.  ​

Politics and Eggs Breakfast-Montana Style (P&E) held nine programs in 2019 attended by 339 people, plus a  “summer luncheon” at the American Legion Post #34, at which 2016 scholarship winner Mykalia Berry spoke.​

SRW mission is two fold: ​

•To support for the scholarship program.
