Stillwater County Sheriff's deputies on scene at the Park City Post Office, where a body was discovered this morning.

Law enforcement authorities are on the scene of what is being described as a “suspicious” death in Park City.

At 7:06 a.m., the Stillwater County Sheriff’s Dispatch center received a 911 call from a U.S. Postal employee regarding a partially concealed body behind the Park City Post Office, said Sheriff Chip Kem.

Deputies responded immediately and determined the individual was dead. The death is currently being investigated as “suspicious,” according to a Stillwater County Sheriff’s Office press release. The Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigations is assisting.

The deceased individual is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 45 to 55 years old. His identity has not yet been determined. An autopsy is planned for Thursday in Billings.

Currently, the area is considered a crime scene, with the area of Clark Street between 1stand 2ndAvenue blocked off.  Kem said the post office and the school are both accessible. “There is no threat to public safety, however we ask that residents avoid the area if possible while law enforcement processes the scene,” said Kem in the release.
