33rd Annual Great Montana Sheep Drive Sunday

Reed Point will be the hot spot this Sunday for the 33rd Annual Great Montana Sheep Drive.
The day gets started with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast at the fire hall, followed by a shearing demonstration, music “Under the Big Top,” a classic car and truck show, a 12 p.m. parade and a 1 p.m. auction. There will also be a Little Bo Peep contest, Round Bale Roll (2-person teams), a log sawing contest and a street dance with live music from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The running of the sheep will take place at 4 p.m. More than 25 food and craft booths will be on hand as well.
This annual event is sponsored by the Reed Point Community Club, which is a non-profit community service organization. Some of the organization’s previous projects have included the following:
•Purchasing land and developing a community park.
•A $3,000 donation for Christmas Lights for town.
•A $600 donation for football field lights.
•Money to help the school buy new lockers for the school, a new door and windows in the library and $1,000 towards new playground equipment.
•Money to help pay for the new well in the cemetery.
•Purchased a defibrillation unit for the town.
•Purchased new picnic tables for public use.
